Measures to be taken in case of internal leakage of marine heat exchanger
Marine heat exchanger is one of the main process equipment of the production equipment, and the maintenance work for this equipment accounts for about 40%-60% of the total maintenance. One of the most difficult problems to deal with in marine heat exchangers during inspections is internal leakage, which is often encountered during major inspections or during daily emergency repairs.Treatment method of heat exchanger internal leakage:
Preliminary inspection
When an internal leak of the heat exchanger is found, first remove the large cover of the heat exchanger, and then inject water into the pipe side to press (sometimes directly using the circulating water of the device to pressurize), and check whether the bulge on the small floating head side and the gasket plate are leaking. , And then decide the next process based on the inspection results.
(1) The simplest method to deal with gasket failure is to replace the gasket.
(2) For the leakage of the expansion of the floating tube sheet, if there are only a few expansions, and the leakage is not too large, generally two people can simultaneously check in two directions with a flashlight to find the expansion of the leakage; if There are too many bulges in the leak, and it is impossible to accurately find the leak point with this method, so other methods need to be adopted for leak detection.
(3) If there is no leakage of the small floating head gasket and the expansion port, it can be determined that the expansion port of the tank side or the heat exchanger and the tube bundle are leaking. The internal leakage inspection method of the tube side can be adopted.
The preliminary inspection method is generally suitable for heat exchangers with cleaner media and less serious corrosion, as well as heat exchangers that have serious internal leakage shortly after being put into use. Because this type of heat exchanger tube bundle expansion generally does not cause problems, most of the small floating head gasket leaks.
