Plate Heat Exchanger Rubber Sleeve ( Rubber Liner/Rubber Boots)
In the plate heat exchanger, most people will ignore an important accessory-the rubber sleeve.
In practical applications, the rubber sleeve plays a very important role---connecting the nozzle and the plate heat exchanger. Once the rubber sleeve is aged or damaged, it may directly affect the leakage of the plate heat exchanger. Therefore, in actual applications, when we are performing repairs or maintenance, we also need to always pay attention to the condition of the rubber sleeve. Once it is found to be damaged, please replace it immediately.
The raw material of the rubber sleeve is the same as that of the rubber strip. After being injected into the mold with vulcanized rubber, it is shaped at high temperature. At present, the rubber sleeve has a high application in ships, petroleum, sea water and so on.
So how should we choose the correct rubber sleeve? Let us talk:
1. According to the model of plate heat exchanger
At present, there are many brands of plate heat exchangers on the market, such as: Alfa Laval, Sondex, APV, Tranter, Hisaka, GEA and so on. Each brand has its own different designs and models, we need to differentiate according to the different models of different brands.
2. According to the size
If you really cannot identify the brand and model of the plate heat exchanger, you can only measure the size according to the thickness of the plate heat exchanger frame and the diameter of the hole and compare the appropriate rubber sleeve. What are the general measured data? Please see the picture below.
Among them, the most important parameters in the figure are B (hole diameter) and H (Thickness) or Frame thickness.
With the above parameters, it is convenient for us to compare the existing sizes and provide the correct matching rubber sleeve.
3, Design mold
If we can neither determine the brand and model, nor accurately measure the parameters, we can only ask the customer to provide samples to us to design the mold. This can ensure the accuracy and safety of the product.
